This exhibition features a total of five leaves from the Bishop's Bible. Following a careful assessment, we assert that these leaves originate from the first edition published in 1568.

They exhibit distinctive characteristics that reflect their historical context, including a full-page woodcut, decorative initials, text divided into verses, and the presence of the "pointing hand" (manicule).

The Bible leaves are the property of the Rector, Reverend Stephen Morgan, whose generosity has enabled the University Library to showcase them in this exhibition.
